Here's a chance to practice and apply multiplying "talents" from Jesus' parable through our Talents Business Fair hosted by The HolyDay Club and Acton Academy. This business fair is aimed towards allowing our children's creativity to flourish in a fun and educational market setting designed for families to support each others' efforts.
FREE TO COME & PARTICIPATE
There is no fee to apply for space at the market and all profit belongs to each family. The event is free to attend also, so invite as many friends and family to come! No need to bring tables or tents. You will just need to bring yourself, your own products and signs, some cash to buy what you'd like there, and friends and family to invite!
Children from age 5-17 are welcome to set up a shop at the tables in the pavilion. We encourage that the children do a lot of the marketing, creating, and selling around this event. Lower elementary children can get more assistance from their parents and caregivers provided that they turn every opportunity for learning and growing faith!
The HolyDay Club is a ministry of New Hope Baptist Church in Essex, MD open to all Christian denominations.
Applications must be submitted online through Acton's website. Please submit one application for each business. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child's information.
Two cupcake businesses? Not a problem. In general, we will let market forces play out, though we will possibly publish a general list of what other shops will be selling throughout the prep phase so you can decide to keep your idea or find something else.
The fair will be held at a covered pavilion next to the playground so younger siblings are free to play nearby within reach. Each business will be allotted space at the tables and will officially last at the designated time, so be prepared to stay the entire time. Optionally, you can pack lunch and come hang out to stay till after the event!

PHOTOGRAPHY
Photos and videos will be taken during this event to document and help promote our future fairs to other interested families. A separate professional photographer will be on site to take back-to-school photos for a fee for your personal use.
This event is designed to give children the experience of selling, or trading, a product or service as a practical application of multiplying their "talents" based on the biblical parable to the talents. Please share and review this story with your children to prepare themselves for our event!
